WhatsApp's New Chat Lock Feature: A Game Changer for Privacy-Conscious Users
WhatsApp Adds Extra Layer of Protection with Password-Protected Chat Feature

WhatsApp introduces new 'Chat Lock' feature to enhance user privacy WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature called 'Chat Lock' that aims to provide users with an added layer of protection for their private conversations. With the new feature, chats will be stored in a password or biometrics-protected folder, making it harder for unauthorized access. In addition, notifications from the locked chats will not display the sender's name or message content, similar to Apple's hidden photos feature. While WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption secures messages, the Chat Lock feature offers an additional level of protection for users who regularly share their unlocked phone with others. The feature is now available, and the company plans to add more options to it in the coming months, including creating a unique password for chats and locking chats for companion devices.
