Britney Spears has reportedly paid her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart's law firm, over $4.2 million in legal fees from November 2021 through March 2023, with sources suggesting that the total fees may now approach $6 million. However, members of Spears' team became concerned about the high fees and reportedly pushed back against Rosengart. As a result, Rosengart has agreed to provide free legal services for the rest of the case against Jamie Spears. The $4.2 million paid by Spears represents legal work performed mainly after the conservatorship ended.
According to sources, Britney's team expressed concerns about the fees charged by Rosengart, prompting the lawyer to agree to work pro bono for the remainder of the case against Jamie Spears. Rosengart has been providing legal services for various aspects of Britney's life, including the conservatorship, an ongoing case against Jamie, her music career, book deal, and other matters.
Rosengart has been critical of the exorbitant fees charged by numerous lawyers involved in the 13-year-long conservatorship case. Legal documents filed by Rosengart indicate that these lawyers made over $30 million in total.
When the conservatorship ended, Britney was reportedly worth $60 million, but sources suggest that her current net worth is significantly lower.
We have reached out to Rosengart and his law firm for comment but have yet to receive a response.
