John Wick: Chapter 4 has exceeded $400 million in global box office revenue, demonstrating its immense popularity among audiences worldwide. Produced by Lionsgate, Thunder Road Films, and 87 Eleven, this latest installment in the series starring Keanu Reeves made an exceptional global debut in late March, generating $137.5 million in revenue. By mid-April, it surpassed the previous films to become the highest-grossing movie in the franchise. Additionally, John Wick: Chapter 4 has received the highest rating ever for a John Wick movie on Rotten Tomatoes, with a score of 94% certified fresh. The movie has earned an estimated $226 million overseas and a total of $402 million globally, which represents a 22% increase compared to the final tally of John Wick 3 – Parabellum. In the latest weekend, the movie collected an additional $10.1 million from 86 international box office markets.
In contrast to previous installments of the franchise that were released in a staggered manner, John Wick: Chapter 4 debuted simultaneously in 71 markets around the world, marking the widest day-and-date release in the franchise's history.
Anticipation for the film was high, with director Chad Stahelski and star Keanu Reeves embarking on a promotional tour that began at Brazil Comic Con in December. Key filmmakers and cast members also participated in press events and premieres in London, Berlin, and Paris, which ultimately resulted in the film achieving number one openings across the globe. Even the Middle East, which launched just a week ago, saw a successful release. The movie's release in Japan is still pending and is scheduled for this fall.
Lionsgate, in partnership with licensing giant IMG, has launched its largest consumer products program to date for John Wick: Chapter 4.
