Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Paris, France. British actress and model Emma Watson became famous for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. Emma Watson played the role when she was only 11 years old. Before that, Emma Watson had only performed in her school plays.

Emma Watson has spoken about falling "in love" with her Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton during the filming of the hugely popular movie franchise.

The pair, who portrayed Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy across the eight movies, have been subject to dating rumours in the past, though clarified during the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion that nothing ever actually happened romantically.

However, also while speaking during the special – which is set to be broadcast on New Year's Day (January 1) – Watson recalled the moment she developed a crush on Felton.

"I walked into the room where we were having tutoring," she began.

"The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don't know how to say it – I just fell in love with him."

Watson then sweetly added of her feelings for her co-star: "I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet. It was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day."

She went on to stress that nothing "ever, ever, ever" happened between them in a romantic sense, but admitted they "just love each other" now (just not romantically).

Felton said of discovering Watson's crush: "I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, 'Yeah, she had a crush on you.'

He continued: "I became very protective over her. Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day."

Touching upon their friendship last week, Felton shared an adorable throwback clip of himself with Watson during filming of The Philosopher's Stone.

Alongside the two stars, the 20th anniversary special will include appearances from Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, among others.

Emma Watson explains why she wanted to quit Harry Potter

Emma Watson has opened up during the Harry Potter cast reunion about how she seriously considered quitting her role as Hermione Granger.

In one of the more serious moments from the 20th anniversary special reuniting the core cast of the Potter movies, Order of the Phoenix director David Yates recalled how Watson had initially wanted to back out as she transitioned into her teenage years.

"I can see that. At times, I was lonely," she acknowledged.

Her co-star Rupert Grint was surprised by Emma's candid recollection, admitting that he'd "never really spoken" to her about that period in her life.

"I think I was scared," she explained in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. "I don't know if you ever felt like it got to a tipping point when you were like... 'This is kind of forever now'."

Emma later added: "The fame thing had finally hit home – in a big way. No-one had to convince me to see it through. The fans genuinely wanted me to succeed and they all genuinely have each other's backs. How great is that?"

Rupert revealed he felt the pressure of being in Harry Potter too: "I also had kind of similar feelings to Emma, kind of contemplating what life would be like if I called it a day.

“But we never really spoke about it, I guess we were just kind of going through it at our own pace, and we were kind of in the moment at the time. It just didn't really occur to us that we were all probably having similar feelings."

Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton credited Emma with showing "grace" in spite of the tremendous responsibility she carried at such a young age.

"Dan and Rupert, they had each other, I had my cronies, whereas Emma was not only younger, she was by herself," he pointed out.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts features Watson, Grint, Felton, Daniel Radcliffe and others from the films getting back together to reflect on memorable moments from the franchise.
