Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1969, in the Castle Hill neighborhood of New York City to Puerto Rican parents David and Guadeloupe. Jennifer Lopez has two sisters, Linda Lopez, younger sister is a journalist. Jennifer Lopez also has an older sister named Leslie. Jennifer Lopez's father, David, first worked for a night shift insurance company called the Guardian, which later hired him as a computer specialist, and Jennifer Lopez's mother was a kindergarten teacher.
Last week, her beau was widely criticized for comments he made about ex-wife Jennifer Garner on The Howard Stern Show, in which he appeared to blame her for his struggles with alcoholism.
And though he later say on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he came off as "the worst, most insensitive, stupid awful guy" for saying his failing marriage was "part of why I started drinking," he also insisted that his words were taken out of context, adding that the former couple share a mutual respect and put their kids first.
Even so, current girlfriend Jennifer Lopez was "pissed" about the interview and felt like she was "getting pulled into this because she is dating him.
Now though, Lopez herself has confirmed to People she's not angry with Affleck and that "this story is simply not true."
"It is not how I feel," she said in a statement. "I couldn't have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person." So looks like things are all good for Bennifer.
Jennifer Lopez Denies Reports She's Mad at Ben Affleck
"I couldn't have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person," Jennifer Lopez tells.
Despite media reports that Lopez took offense at Affleck's comments related to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, during a recent interview with Howard Stern, the On My Way singer says the rumors are utterly off-base.
"This story is simply not true," Lopez tells PEOPLE exclusively. "It is not how I feel."
She adds of Affleck, with whom she rekindled a romantic relationship earlier this year, "I couldn't have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person."
For his part, Affleck, who shares daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 12, and son Samuel, 9, with Garner, also took issue with the narrow focus of coverage of his comments on the Howard Stern Show. During the interview, a wide-ranging and candid discussion about fame, love, parenthood, and his past struggles with alcoholism, the actor spoke of the time in his life when his marriage to Garner was faltering, stating within a larger point, "part of why I started drinking ... because I was trapped."
Affleck made it clear in a subsequent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he "would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom." The Tender Bar star told Kimmel that he was trying in his conversation with Stern to articulate "how much we respect each other and cared about each other and cared about our kids and put them first." Instead, he says he came off in the media as "the worst, most insensitive, stupid awful guy."
Lopez, for one, is fully supportive of Affleck and feels that any negative characterizations — both of him and of the rumors of her being angry at him for the Stern interview — are off the mark.
Ben Affleck Criticized Following His ‘Trapped’ Comments
However, Cherry’s recent revelation about Affleck seemed like a far cry from the criticisms that he’s been receiving in the past couple of days.
Following his interview with Howard Stern, Garner’s fans slammed Affleck following his “trapped” comments.
Affleck clarified what he meant when he said that he felt trapped in his marriage to Garner when he visited Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“I had gone on about how much we respected each other and how we cared about each other and cared about our kids and put them first. And went through our stuff. And they said that I had blamed my ex-wife for my alcoholism and that I was trapped in this marriage and just made me out to be the worst, most insensitive, stupid, awful guy,” he said.
Affleck also said that he wants his kids to know that they will never say anything negative or bad about their mom.
Cherry isn’t also surprised that Affleck and Lopez got back together. After all, the couple seems to be on the page when it comes to their values, goals, and priorities.
“They both have kids. Ben’s very family-oriented. He’s looking for something very deep and J.Lo is obviously someone he feels very connected to. They seem like a really great match,” she concluded.
Life & Style, in its Dec. 27 issue, published a similar story about Cherry and Affleck. The former said that the actor is very family-oriented, and she’s happy that he’s back with Lopez.
“He’s a very loving and sweet guy. He’s going back to someone he was really connected to,” she said.
