“It’s hard for Brad to see Jen getting so cozy with Justin,” spills the source. “The possibility that Jen’s tighter with Justin stings him, for sure.” (Aniston's rep denies there’s any tension between the trio.)

According to the source, knowing the pair are still close has been a sore spot for the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor, 57, who “takes immense pride in the tight relationship” he’s built with the Friends alum. The source also spills that Pitt “found it kind of lame” that Theroux chose to post the photo in the first place.

Still, while the source says Aniston “finds it sweet” that the Fight Club star is low-key jealous, she’s happy to show the world that she and Theroux are “the best of friends, still.”

the We're The Millers actress consistently refuses to hide her affection for her high profile ex-hubby. Back in August, the 52-year-old took to Instagram to celebrate The Leftovers actor's 50th birthday.

The Just Go With It star posted a pic of Theroux in a suit captioned: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JT," followed by a sexy shirtless snapshot of the Washington D.C. born actor with the words: “Truly one of a kind” and “LOVE YOU!"

In April, Aniston also dished to Esquire that they have "remained friends" despite their split: "We don't talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn't have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I'm sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship."

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are the poster children for exes remaining friends.

The former couple cuddled up for a cozy snap three years after their split, following a reunion at the third installment of “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” on Tuesday night.

Theroux, 50, took to his Instagram Story to share the pic with Aniston, 52, which also featured actress Ann Dowd squished between them.

“Anne-sandwich,” he captioned the cozy snap, in which they donned matching black turtlenecks.

The trio was together for a “Facts Of Life” special. Theroux executive-produced the segment, which starred his ex-wife as Blair Warner, a role originated by Lisa Whelchel in 1979.

Aniston and Theroux started dating in 2011 and got engaged the following year. They eventually tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2015 but called it quits in early 2018.

In April, the actor told Esquire that the pair have remained close, more than three years after their separation.

“I would say we’ve remained friends. We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text,” he told the outlet.

“I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship … she makes me laugh very, very hard. She’s a hilarious person,” he raved. “It would be a loss if we weren’t in contact, for me personally. And I’d like to think the same for her.”

Meanwhile, Aniston paid tribute to her former beau on his 50th birthday in August.

“Happy Birthday JT,” Aniston wrote on Instagram. “Truly one of a kind. LOVE YOU!”

The longtime pals were on set together on Tuesday, December 7, for a live reading of an episode of the classic sitcom The Facts of Life on ABC. While rehearsing, he and Aniston embraced but were photo-bombed by costar Ann Dowd, leading to a pic Theroux called an “Anne [sic] sandwich” on his Instagram Stories.

The two had a very amicable split, especially by Hollywood standards. “I would say we’ve remained friends,” Theroux revealed in April to Esquire. “We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn't have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I'm sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship.”

He added, “We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She's a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren't in contact, for me personally. And I'd like to think the same for her.”

Theroux previously opened up about his breakup with Jennifer Aniston to The New York Times. “It was heartbreaking,” he said. “Only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day. But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”
