Beyonce didn’t have to go very far to find the perfect model for her latest Adidas x Ivy Park collection thanks to her mum, Tina Knowles-Lawson, doing the honours and totally slaying the look.
From tomorrow, the Brown Skin Girls singer will release her second Ivy Park line with the sportswear brand titled Drip 2. It comes almost 10 months after dropping her first collection with Adidas.
Ms Tina was of course lucky enough to get her hands on the collection before time and made sure her followers knew about it.
In an Instagram photo, the fashion designer shared a photo of herself kitted out in a khaki set including a long raincoat with the hood pulled up, crop top and matching leggings.
For a split second, it would be easy to mistake Tina and her youthful looks for her famous daughter. ‘Where is your park?’ Tina teased in the caption knowing full we’re all counting down the hours to October 30.
Beyonce’s cousin Angie Beyince commented on the photo: ‘Looking like a snack !!’ while Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer complimented: ‘Looking gorgeous in green.’
Actress Yara Shahidi commented: ‘Too good!’ with the hands raised emoji. If Beale Street Could Talk star Regina King chimed in: ‘Ok! Ms. Tina!!’ while one fan enthused: ‘Ms.Tina now you did not have to slay like this ms lady.’
Beyonce’s gone bigger and brighter with Drip 2, which features neon green, yellow, red and blue bodysuits, tracksuits, coats and trainers. The 80s-inspired campaign video sees the musician modelling the fits while dancing and lifting weights – very infomercial-like. A description for the latest line said: ‘Inspired by the inner beauty, strength, resilience and energy of artists who have found their park, this collection celebrates remaining positive and always finding joy.’
In the clip, Beyonce’s heard saying: ‘It was the first time in my life I’ve been so still. When you have nowhere to go, what do you do?’ along to Sophie’s 2018 track Faceshopping. Beyonce joined forces with Adidas and moved Ivy Park to their home after ending her partnership with Topshop in 2016.
