Jason Momoa Launched His Hawaiian Inspired Clothing Line And Fans Are Ready To Shop.

Game Of Thrones and Aquaman star Jason Momoa has launched his own sustainable clothing line to celebrate Hawaiian culture.

The Hawaii-born actor, who skyrocketed to fame for his role of Khal Drogo on the HBO fantasy drama, has partnered with Hawaiian surfing group and clothing brand Da Hui to kick off his collection, called Alohaj.

Founded by a group of native Hawaiian surfers, Da Hui was born with the aim to protect and preserve Hawaiian surfing. Momoa, who is a surfer and used to work in a surf shop when he was 19, announced the collaboration on his Instagram on September 23.

Jason Momoa Wants To Spread Aloha And Ocean Awareness

The American actor posted a clip of himself talking about the line and wearing a pair of pants and a t-shirt designed with Da Hui, bearing their original logo: a stylized character on a surfboard.

Momoa is also filmed as he paddle-boards and climbs a wall whilst wearing his own items, which ranges from t-shirts to tank tops and pants in neutral colors.

“I wanted to create something that people want to wear, and that also supports protecting the ocean,” Momoa explained.

The actor, who debuted on TV in Baywatch: Hawaii in the late 90s, explained that part of the profits will go towards helping Hawaiian reefs and sustaining other local environmental causes.

“A good cause and good clothes to raise awareness and respect for Hawaiian culture, our traditions and our environment,” he wrote in his Instagram post.

Momoa is visibly passionate about these causes and is excited for his fans to try out his line, which is now available to preorder.

Momoa Will Star In The Sci-Fi Movie Everyone Is Waiting For

The actor will next appear in one of the most anticipated titles of the season: sci-fi epic Dune by Denis Villeneuve, alongside Emmy-winning actress Zendaya and Call Me By Your Name protagonist Thimotée Chalamet. Momoa will play Duncan Idaho in the film, a role that went to Richard Jordan in the first film adaptation by David Lynch, released in 1984 to mixed reviews.

The star-studded cast also features Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Javier Bardem, as well as Charlotte Rampling and Stellan Skarsgård. Dune is scheduled to be released in the United States this year, on December 18.
