This includes his Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood star, Brad Pitt, with who he has a cool connection.

And then there's Christoph Waltz, who Brad's ex Angelina Jolie is looking to star in a film with. If you don't remember, Austrian-born Christoph Waltz earned two Academy Awards for his performances in Quentin's Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.

While Christoph was a working actor long before meeting Quentin Tarantino, he definitely owes his Hollywood and mainstream career to his writing.

But what is the actual dynamic between the famed actor and filmmaker?

Christoph Thinks Quentin Is The Life Of The Party

In 2014, Christoph Waltz was interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live. This is where he shed some light on the true dynamic between him and the eccentric, Academy Award-winning filmmaker.

"Earlier this week you were at an event that honored Quentin Tarantino," Jimmy Kimmel began. "It sounded like an interesting event to me because... well, any event that Quentin Tarantino is at is an interesting event..."

"And if it isn't, it'll turn into one," Christoph added.

"Yeah."

Jimmy then went into a brief tangent where he teased Christoph over the fact that Culture Club and Boy George were also at the event with him and Quentin Tarantino. Christoph had a physical reaction to Jimmy even dropping the name... He's no Boy George or '80s music fan.

"You're the only one who hated the '80s," Jimmy joked.

"Well, I'm the only one who remembers them."

But Christoph doesn't have these feelings about Quentin Tarantino... In fact, quite the opposite. It's clear from numerous interviews that Christoph believes that Quentin isn't just the life of the party but also one of the most talented and interesting filmmakers out there. Given Quentin's incredible specificity and impact on the culture, we can't disagree with Christoph on this.

Christoph And Quentin Have A Relationship Outside Of The Movies

During Christoph's 2014 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the Austrian-born Spectre and No Time To Die actor revealed that he and Quentin Tarantino have a relationship outside of the movies they've made together.

"Do you and Quentin still socialize when you come to Los Angeles?" Jimmy Kimmel asked him. "Or is it like he's so used to having you here now?"

"No, no, we're friends," Christoph claimed.

"What do you do with him?"

"With him?"

"Yeah. What do you guys do?"

"Oh, I see. We-we actually... sometimes we watch movies at his house," Christoph described. "He has this wonderful movie theater in his house. But sometimes--most of the time we just go have dinner and talk about the world."

"Yeah, he loves movies," Jimmy said, which might be the understatement of the century. Jimmy then went on to describe how Quentin Tarantino had set up a private showing of Kill Bill for Jimmy Kimmel and his crew. Apparently, Quentin actually waited outside the theater for upwards of 40 minutes just to make sure Jimmy didn't walk out of the movie.

"He finally gave up and he realized I was staying for the movie and went home, but what kind of maniac does something like that?" Jimmy joked.

"Yeah, well, you know, he's interested," Christoph responded earning a laugh from the studio audience. "The best thing is when he writes a new script and I am lucky enough to be asked to participate, I read it at his house. But I like to do that."

Christoph described how Quentin Tarantino would watch him read every single page. Not because he thought he would run off with the script, but because he wanted to see Christoph's reaction. Without a doubt, no one gets more excited about Quentin's writing than Quentin...

"Really?" Jimmy asked.

"Actually, I like it because it becomes part of the thing..."

"But the first time it had to be unnerving?"

"The first time it was..."

Quentin Tarantino's Style Of Writing Is Right Up Christoph's Alley

During a 2014 interview with The New Yorker, Christoph was asked about whether he was uncomfortable with some of the language and themes his characters have to deal with in Quentin's movies, Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.

"That's why I love playing Quentin's text. And I say 'text' on purpose. It's not just the dialogue, it's the text. Because you do not have to, as I said before, make something of it. You follow the word. It's all on the page. It's like music. It really is. You can just jump in and let it carry you."

While Christoph says that most of the filmmakers he's worked with all have a certain quality to their vision that he admires he claims that " Quentin Tarantino writes for me."
