Courteney Cox, Friends star, who famously played hyper-organised Monica Geller in the hit US sitcom, told Foy Vance on his Vinyl Supper podcast that she hasn't seen her Snow Patrol musician boyfriend since March, when many areas of the world were put under lockdown.
While Courteney Cox is living at her California home, Johnny returned to the UK in the same week that lockdowns began, meaning that the couple, who have been together since 2013, haven't been able to reunite.
"At first I was like, 'Wow, what do I do with myself?'" she said. "I cook every day, I've learned to cook so many more things...
"I haven't seen John in that many days, he left when the country shut down, or at least when California did.
"Sundays are different – I do miss the music part of it," she continued.
"I miss a lot of it, although people are starting to kind of go, 'Okay, if everyone's been quarantining and everyone's safe' ... they feel like they like to come to the beach so I am not that lonely when it comes to seeing people, especially on the weekends."
"I have these two friends... they were gonna quarantine with me, which is great because if I can't be with John, I don't want to just be by myself with Coco. I'm a little chicken!" she said.
However, Courteney also explained that the realities of coronavirus were made clear to her when one of her friends fell ill and ended up in hospital after contracting COVID-19.
"They got here on a Friday – we'd been tested, we were all negative... But two days later, Kevin started feeling really tired and threw up and the next day he was like, 'I think I have a cold'," Courteney Cox explained.
"Four days later he's in the hospital on a ventilator, almost dead [...] Now he's completely recovered, but that was one of the scariest things. I wouldn't even understand COVID-19 had it not been right here. It was scary."
Courteney Cox also added that life has been "simpler" since the pandemic began and that she has discovered that she doesn't need "half of the things that I thought I did".
Courteney Cox recently revealed that she is reprising her role as news reporter Gale Weathers in horror movie franchise Scream for the upcoming Scream 5, saying that she "can't wait" to be facing villain Ghostface again.
Friends airs daily on Comedy Central in the UK and is also streaming on Netflix in the UK.
