Kim Kardashian decided to cancel her hit reality show in order to save her marriage with Kanye West, a source has claimed.
The star revealed last week that her family’s hit reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, would come to an end early next year.
The show, featuring mum Kris, her sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, and a whole heap of drama, had been on the air for 13 years.
Taking to Instagram to share the news, Kim said she was devastated to say goodbye to the show.
It has now been suggested, however, that Kim decided to end Keeping Up With the Kardashians in order to save her marriage with Kanye West.
The rapper rarely appeared on the show and was reportedly not keen on his family’s life being broadcast to the world.
Kim reportedly promised Kanye that the show would end as part of a new ‘marriage pact’. It comes following Kanye’s numerous public outbursts.
‘She made a vow to him to stop doing the show which he’s always hated as a part of their new marriage pact,’ an insider told New Magazine.
‘Kim is adamant it’s the best decision for her marriage following a string of personal woes this year.
‘Kim insisted it was time to put her marriage first as she admitted how many problems it created between her and Kanye.
‘It’s no secret that Kanye has never felt comfortable with cameras following their lives, and he’s been trying to get Kim to stop since they met.’
Kanye West hit the headlines earlier his summer when he tweeted that he wanted a divorce from his Kim Kardashian.
He also accused his wife of trying to ‘lock [him] up’.
The reality star later issued her own statement saying that Kanye was suffering from bipolar disorder as she implored people not to judge his mental health
