"She died of cancer diagnosed in March, and spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession. I will miss her beyond words."

A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," the statement read, adding that he filmed "during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy" in secret. "It was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."
