The actress, who appeared in Game of Thrones and The Avengers, passed away on Sept. 10 at the age of 82. "My Beloved Ma died peacefully in her sleep early this morning, at home, surrounded by family," the star's daughter Rachael Stirling said in a statement. "She died of cancer diagnosed in March, and spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession. I will miss her beyond words."

On Aug. 28, reps for the Black Panther star confirmed he died at the age of 43 following a battle with colon cancer. "Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," the statement read, adding that he filmed "during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy" in secret. "It was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther."
Justin Townes Earle
Justin Townes Earle, a singer-songwriter and the firstborn son of musician Steve Earle, died at the age of 38. "It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you of the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin," a statement read on his Instagram on Sunday, Aug. 23.
The Broadway star, who won a Tony Award in 1993 for Kiss of the Spider Woman, died at the age of 68 on Aug. 4. His family said in a statement shared to Facebook, "His love of performing was matched only by his zest for life and lifetime devotion to family, friends and treasured pets. Thank you to the performing arts community for embracing our Brent and helping him fulfill his dreams with joy in his heart. Brent will be missed."
The Glee star was confirmed dead by authorities on July 13, five days after she went missing on a California lake. The news came just hours after the Ventura County Sheriff's department said that a body had been found at Lake Piru.
